Job Title: Safety and HR Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and HR Specialist to provide administrative support to our Human Resources Manager. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of safety programs (OSHA) and be able to manage and traffic guest and employee incidents and injuries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor compliance with State & Federal Human Resources laws, including overseeing Meal Waiver and Break Policy compliance.
  • Manage & traffic guest and employee incidents and injuries, liaising as point person with workers comp. carrier.
  • Assist in recruitment efforts for all personnel and temporary employees.
  • Help conduct employee orientations.
  • Handle employee relations counseling, resolution counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
  • Ensure proper documentation for employee write-ups, suspensions, terminations.
  • Maintain and update employee records and files.
  • Assist in conducting investigations into allegations of employee misconduct.
  • Assist in organizing Safety Mtgs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably HR-related or HRBP Certificate.
  • Microsoft Office required. Quickbooks experienced desired but not essential.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish/English a MUST.
  • Detail oriented, dependable and able to work in a fast pace working environment under pressure.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to deal effectively and discretely with people of diverse backgrounds and varying personalities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience and exposure in handling sensitive employee relations.
