This platform will feature a centralized electrical architecture powered by Arene, our flagship programmable automotive software system that seamlessly integrates on-vehicle operating systems with cloud services.

Role Overview
As a key member of the Products and Special Programs team, you will be instrumental in crafting applications for a contemporary vehicle operating system and cloud services. Your focus will be on managing data from vehicle sensors, visualizing this data, and developing intelligent software workflows for next-generation mobility applications. This role encompasses working on the cloud platform, building and supporting applications, and designing the necessary infrastructure services and testing frameworks for a thriving cloud ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain a suite of vehicle data management services.
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, availability, and security of team-owned services.
  • Address defined business challenges with minimal guidance while influencing technical strategy.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance engineering practices by adopting best practices in testing and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to the formulation of OKRs and business strategies for the team, presenting insights effectively to broader audiences.
  • Optimize existing cloud services to deliver both business and technical value.
  • Propose improvements and share best practices across teams involved in cloud architecture development.
  • Resolve complex problems with scalable solutions, focusing on simplification and optimization.
  • Balance immediate team needs with long-term business objectives through informed technical trade-offs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in programming, with a solid grounding in software design principles and expertise in languages such as Golang, Kotlin/Java, or C++.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, event sourcing, and cloud-native microservices architecture, with proficiency in Kubernetes-based service development.
  • Experience in building and deploying production-quality services on public cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with hands-on experience in cloud-native serverless technologies.
  • Familiarity with gRPC, HTTP/2, and HTTP/3 or QUIC.
  • Experience with both traditional RDBMS and NoSQL databases, including time-series databases.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization/RBAC enabled services.
  • Experience with GraphQL and RESTful API development.
  • Familiarity with queuing frameworks such as Kafka.
