Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Delivery of Medications: Prepare unit dose medications, compounding sterile preparations, and deliver medications to patient care units.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Inventory Management: Check and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that medications are properly stored and disposed of.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, including maintaining aseptic technique and adhering to USP 797 guidelines.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and families to ensure seamless delivery of care.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: At least 2 years of pharmacy-related experience required.
- Certifications: Registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy required. National Certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred.
