The CMA will deliver empathetic assistance to our residents and ensure medication is administered in compliance with established nursing protocols, medication aide standards, and relevant state and federal regulations.
Position Details
- Title: Certified Medication Aide
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Saturday - Sunday
- Hours: 6AM - 10PM
Compensation: $17.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to established facility protocols to administer medications to residents per physician's directives.
- Provide care to residents in accordance with facility guidelines.
- Communicate residents' needs and concerns to a licensed nurse.
- Order necessary medications and supplies to ensure timely and accurate medication administration.
- Engage in the oversight of care provided to residents.
- Document care related to medication administration and report any adverse effects or changes in residents' conditions to the licensed nurse.
- Perform duties of a Certified Nurse Aide as required.
Qualifications Required
- Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate prior to starting work.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Current Medication Aide permit valid in the State of Texas is necessary.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Texas and in good standing is required.
- Previous experience in medication aide responsibilities is preferred.
- Physical and sensory abilities appropriate for this role, including frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team of professionals.
- Supportive and compassionate demeanor.
