Early Services Engagement and Prevention Case Coordinator

As an Early Services Engagement and Prevention (ESEP) Case Coordinator at Communities Connected for Kids, you will collaborate with a team of committed professionals dedicated to supporting individuals in need.

The Communities Connected for Kids Program is designed to assist children and families within the child welfare system, striving for a community free from abuse, neglect, and abandonment.
This role is essential in delivering intensive safety management services and oversight to families referred by child protective investigators.
In close collaboration with families, the Case Coordinator will facilitate the creation and execution of personalized family plans aimed at addressing immediate safety concerns and reducing long-term risks of abuse and neglect.
The ESEP Program is a newly established initiative funded by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) for a designated period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Internal Processes: Demonstrate a solid understanding of the child welfare dependency system and the interconnectedness of internal and external operations. Recognize how your role contributes to the agency's success and performance while practicing trauma-informed care.
- Program Delivery: Exhibit the skills and knowledge necessary to implement, manage, and deliver program services effectively. Maintain a manageable caseload of up to five families, providing intensive in-home family preservation services for up to six months. Utilize evidence-based practices to create tailored family plans that address both immediate and long-term safety concerns.
- Customer Relations: Foster a positive operational environment aligned with CCKids strategies. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the safety of all family members during the assessment process.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and professional standards while maintaining accurate documentation of all interactions and assessments.
- Time Management: Demonstrate effective time management skills, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and collaborating with colleagues to enhance efficiency.
- Technology Proficiency: Utilize general office equipment and software applications effectively, ensuring proficient use of required technology.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance processes to maintain compliance with established standards.
- Risk and Safety Awareness: Adhere to safety protocols and report any concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Financial/Data Management: Maintain client and employee data securely, exercising financial responsibility with CCKids resources.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Preferred: Master's degree in human services, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Experience:
- Required: Credentialing as a Child Welfare Professional by the Florida Certification Board within a specified timeframe. Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Preferred: Two years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
