Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Animal Welfare Specialist to join our team at MSPCA Angell. As a key member of our Animal Protection Division, you will play a vital role in advancing the health and welfare of animals in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to shelter visitors, ensuring a positive experience for both humans and animals.
  • Offer in-depth adoption counseling to match animals with their forever homes, promoting successful outcomes for both parties.
  • Offer judgement-free surrender counseling to owners, exploring alternative solutions to ensure the best possible outcome for the animal.
  • Collaborate with staff to identify and address operational issues, ensuring a smooth and efficient shelter environment.

Requirements:

We are looking for applicants with at least one year of experience working with animals and a proven track record in customer service. Previous animal shelter experience is a plus. Applicants should demonstrate excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, and a passion for supporting the human-animal bond.
