Job Title: CT Technologist

Eskenazi Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing standard CT procedures on designated sections of the body as required by physician orders.

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist II Cat Scan Specialist performs a variety of tasks, including positioning and instructing patients, utilizing protective shielding, immobilization, and supportive devices as required. You will also be responsible for transferring images from file to file/archiving system, performing routinely required paperwork, and assisting Radiologists/managers as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs standard CT procedures on designated sections of the body as required by physician orders
  • Selects proper exposure factors/protocols for each CT procedure/selects proper settings
  • Positions and instructs patients; utilizes protective shielding, immobilization, and supportive devices as required
  • Assumes responsibility for the care and safety of the patients undergoing CT procedures
  • Transfers images from file to file/archiving system
  • Performs routinely required paperwork, scheduling, assists Radiologists/managers as needed
  • Restores images from PAC system
  • Responsible for the operations of the CT injector and properly sets equipment
  • Starts an IV and administers IV /oral contrast media
  • Alters activities to reflect/ensure adequate care appropriate to the age of patients served
  • Trains and precepts students and/or new employees
Requirements:
  • Demonstrates skills and knowledge acquired through graduation from a Radiologic Technology Program
  • Minimum of one year previous working experience in radiologic technology with emphasis on CT
  • Bachelor of Science degree with a CT major strongly preferred
  • Must be ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) certified which includes compliance with Professional CEU requirements
  • Licensed with the State of Indiana as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Maintains and shows proof of current CPR Certification
