Job Title: CT Technologist

Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals at Eskenazi Health, a leading healthcare provider in Indianapolis. We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our Radiology department.

About the Role:

The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing standard CT procedures on designated sections of the body as required by physician orders. This role requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and patient care skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform standard CT procedures on designated sections of the body as required by physician orders
  • Select proper exposure factors/protocols for each CT procedure/selects proper settings
  • Position and instruct patients; utilizes protective shielding, immobilization, and supportive devices as required
  • Assume responsibility for the care and safety of patients undergoing CT procedures
  • Transfer images from file to file/archiving system
  • Perform routinely required paperwork, scheduling, assists Radiologists/managers as needed
  • Restore images from PAC system
  • Responsible for the operations of the CT injector and properly sets equipment
  • Start an IV and administer IV/oral contrast media
  • Alter activities to reflect/ensure adequate care appropriate to the age of patients served
  • Train and precept students and/or new employees
Requirements:
  • Demonstrates skills and knowledge acquired through graduation from a Radiologic Technology Program
  • Minimum of one year previous working experience in radiologic technology with emphasis on CT
  • Bachelor of Science degree with a CT major strongly preferred
  • Must be ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) certified which includes compliance with Professional CEU requirements
  • Licensed with the State of Indiana as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Maintains and shows proof of current CPR Certification
