Diesel Equipment Specialist

At US Foods, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. As a key member of our fleet maintenance department, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of road equipment.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will have 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience and a solid understanding of equipment diagnostics. They will be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace, and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.
We offer a competitive salary of $**00 per hour**, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and more.
Our ideal candidate will be able to perform preventative maintenance within company standards, complete documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability, handle road service calls, and maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications- 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience
- Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet
- Ability to read and understand technical and service manuals
- Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Computer and software experience
