About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Equipment Mechanic to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of trucks and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy vehicle systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic system malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in heavy vehicle repair and maintenance.
  • Diesel mechanic certification or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that requires working Sunday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
