We are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful individual to join our team as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Horticulture at the University of Georgia's Tifton campus.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a PhD research project focused on blueberry production and cultural management practices, including fertilization, pruning, and water management. The position will also involve outreach and extension experiences, as well as professional development relevant to future careers in the industry and academia.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on blueberry production and cultural management practices
  • Develop and implement outreach and extension programs
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff on research projects
  • Assist with data collection and analysis
  • Prepare and present research findings
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agronomy, horticulture, plant physiology, or a related discipline. Previous field and work experience relevant to the potential research topics is preferred. A good understanding of project design, data entry, statistical analysis, and technical writing is also required.
