Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Phoenix Children's Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages, from neonates to adolescents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established standards, procedural guidelines, and policies.
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of the proper and safe use of all Respiratory Care interventions and related equipment.
  • Interact with and explain care modalities to patients, families, and the health care team in an understandable manner based on individual diversity and learning styles.
  • Accurately and reliably interpret and communicate patient data.
  • Consistently provide thorough patient clinical status reports to applicable members of the health care team using effective communication methods.
  • Assess patients clinical status, evaluate progress towards goals, and recommend courses of action.
  • Display personal accountability to locate and follow policy, procedure, and competency references.
  • Analyze critical situations and apply appropriate judgment and critical thinking for problem resolution.
  • Communicate experiences, safety concerns, and improvement opportunities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Continuously improve and take the initiative to develop knowledge and skills through appropriate learning experiences and opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in respiratory care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
