Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment Planning: Provide comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for children in foster care, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
- Counseling and Therapy: Offer individual, group, and family therapy sessions to children and families, as needed, to promote emotional well-being and stability.
- Risk Assessments: Conduct specialized risk assessments to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with other staff members, including social workers, therapists, and case managers, to ensure comprehensive care and support for children and families.
- Case Meetings and Documentation: Attend case-related meetings, including counseling on special education, termination of parental rights, and emergency meetings, and maintain accurate and detailed case documentation.
- Master's Degree: Requires a Master's degree in social work or a related field, with a focus on clinical social work or a related field.
- Licensure: Limited permit is required; professional licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT) is preferred.
