Position Overview

At Little Endeavors Child Development Center, we are looking for a passionate individual to join our team as a Toddler Development Specialist. This role offers a competitive compensation package, including potential bonuses.

Compensation:

  • Starting pay at $13 per hour based on experience
  • Up to $500 company bonus available
  • $1000 state bonus available after 90 days

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching: Develop and execute both long-term and short-term activities aligned with curriculum goals and age-appropriate learning strategies.
  2. Engagement: Interact with children in a compassionate manner, ensuring they feel respected and valued. This includes:
  • Establishing clear and simple rules
  • Engaging in meaningful conversations with children
  • Modeling positive behavior
  • Guiding children in resolving conflicts and understanding mistakes
  • Recognizing and praising positive behavior to enhance self-esteem
  • Providing clear choices to foster decision-making skills
Communication: Maintain open and professional communication with parents regarding their child's progress and needs.Leadership: Demonstrate the ability to lead the classroom effectively, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.Collaboration: Support management and adhere to best practices within the classroom and the center.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, including attendance, daily reports, and incident documentation.Planning: Prepare lesson plans and organize activities for assistant teachers during your absence.Fairness: Treat all children with kindness and equity, ensuring a nurturing environment.

Teamwork:

  1. Encourage assistant teachers to participate in lesson planning and share ideas.
  2. Mentor assistants to prepare them for leadership roles.
  3. Communicate effectively with all staff members.
  4. Maintain a positive and respectful demeanor in all interactions.

Professionalism:

  1. Demonstrate reliability in attendance and punctuality.
  2. Perform duties with care and a positive attitude towards children, parents, and colleagues.
  3. Exhibit flexibility in job assignments and schedules.
  4. Remain composed in challenging situations.
  5. Adhere to all policies and procedures.
