About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Documentation Specialist to join our team at Avantor. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in optimizing our Masterflex organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the engineering team by documenting new designs and design changes of mechanical and electrical systems from concept to production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and implementation of new designs and design improvements into production.
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing specifications, including Bill of Materials, drawings, and technical input.
  • Utilize CAD/SolidWorks software and collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Provide technical assistance and expertise to manufacturing teams to drive process improvements and corrective action.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in documentation and technical writing.
  • Proficiency in CAD/SolidWorks software and collaboration tools.
  • Strong understanding of tolerance analysis, GD&T, ISO standards, design for manufacturing, and design for assembly.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Design interpretation of specifications and documentation of manuals and labels.
  • Knowledge of printed circuit board documentation.
  • Light assembly experience.
