Position Summary:

Fantasy Island Resort I, situated in the picturesque Daytona Beach Shores, FL, serves as a sought-after destination for guests looking for both relaxation and adventure. We are seeking individuals who are committed to excellence, teamwork, integrity, and pride in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Condo Sanitation: Perform comprehensive cleaning of guest condos, including kitchens (countertops, dishes, refrigerators, sinks), tile floors, bathrooms (sinks, showers, tubs, floors), and bedrooms (dusting, windows, vacuuming carpets and stairs).
  • Inventory Oversight: Promptly request replacements for any missing items in condos from dispatch.
  • Exterior Upkeep: Sweep entrances, shake door mats, wipe down and properly position patio furniture, and maintain patio areas.
  • Preparation: Ensure condos are ready for guest occupancy with curtains and amenities arranged appropriately.
  • Quality Control: Inspect your work before leaving each condo, ensuring mirrors and sinks are spotless, carpets are free of debris, and the room has a fresh scent.
  • Issue Reporting: Immediately report maintenance issues or damage to furniture and any other concerns that cannot be resolved independently.
  • Energy Efficiency: Turn off all lights and adjust A/C to the appropriate vacant temperature upon completing cleaning tasks.
  • Cart Management: Maintain cleanliness and organization of your housekeeping cart, ensuring garbage is removed at the end of each shift.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other team members to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Chemical Safety: Demonstrate proper use and understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment on a daily basis.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and report any unsafe incidents or conditions to the supervisor.
  • Guest Engagement: Provide professional and courteous customer service to all guests, ensuring their satisfaction with the cleanliness of their condo during midweek cleans or refresh services.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous cleaning experience and familiarity with cleaning chemicals.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills; ability to operate a vacuum cleaner, push a maid cart, and handle cleaning tools and chemicals. Must be able to read chemical labels and resort policies.
  • Physical Abilities: Must be capable of lifting, pulling, and/or pushing up to 40 lbs, and performing tasks that require standing, walking, crouching, stooping, kneeling, repetitive hand/wrist motions, reaching, bending, seeing, recognizing, distinguishing, conveying information, and conversing with staff and guests consistently.
