The VCU Department of Family Medicine and Population Health is actively seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician to enhance our outpatient services.
This role offers a competitive compensation package along with a comprehensive benefits program, including opportunities for clinical bonuses. We are looking for a Full-Time physician who will engage in medical education and may participate in departmental research initiatives. The focus will be on full-spectrum family medicine, with no inpatient responsibilities.
- Standard 5-day work week, incorporating time for clinical administration, chronic disease management, and patient communication; on-call duties are limited to phone consultations.
- Access to support services at VCU Medical Center, including a 24/7 hospitalist team, laboratory, imaging, and specialty consultations.
- Extensive benefits package featuring annual funds for continuing medical education and professional development; coverage for licensing, professional memberships, and DEA fees; relocation assistance, vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
- Opportunity for a clinical faculty appointment within the VCU Department of Family Medicine and Population Health.
- Utilization of Epic EMR for patient management.
- Deliver high-quality outpatient primary care services to both new and returning patients in the community.
- Participation in hospital or departmental committees as appropriate.
Qualifications Required:
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
- Eligibility for full staff privileges at VCU Health System.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Virginia.
- Proven experience in collaborating with and supporting a diverse team of staff, residents, and students through an inclusive and emotionally supportive approach.
