Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Server to join our team at PM Hotel Group. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring that every event is a success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Attend pre-event meetings to review event details and ensure a thorough understanding of guest expectations.
  • Greet guests warmly and respond to their requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that every guest has a positive experience.
  • Act as a bartender as qualified and ensure that all guests are served in a responsible and safe manner.
  • Position may assist with events off-site as necessary.
  • Abide by all state, federal, and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages and maintaining OSHA food safety standards.
  • Set up meeting rooms to the specifications of the guest, including transporting heavy materials and equipment.
  • Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
  • Break down meeting rooms after events and return items to storage closets.
  • Maintain established cleaning schedule of meeting rooms and ballrooms to ensure a clean and presentable environment.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment.
  • Knowledge of various types of equipment and set-up styles used in meeting rooms.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions.
  • Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
  • Ability to lift and move multiple tables and chairs and podiums weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to grasp, lift, and/or carry, or otherwise move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 500 lbs.
