Job Summary:

The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution and timely completion of assigned electrical projects. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to manage project scope, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of electricians, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to complete projects efficiently.
  • Scope Management: Analyze bid documents and site conditions to outline project scope, including general conditions and requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with project scope to ensure related costs are covered.
  • Pre-Construction: Manage pre-construction requirements to ensure efficiency and profitability.
  • Estimating and Pricing: Complete construction estimates and price change orders.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete and submit RFIs, change orders, and progress billing.
  • Communication: Clearly define and manage labor hours, material procurement, equipment needs, and customer reporting requirements.
  • Field Visits: Conduct field visits to projects as needed, including pre-bid surveys, kick-off meetings, progress walks, punch walks, and turnover.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager overseeing electrical scopes of $2M and below.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Accubid, Procore, or similar type software.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks according to deadlines and urgency, and complete them in a timely and professional manner.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to comprehend, summarize, edit, and analyze data.
  • System Navigation: Ability to create, navigate, search, and update company systems (emails, work orders, reports, bids, invoices, etc.).
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with creating, editing, and analyzing Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and Power Point presentations.
