Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team at Keller Brothers, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Superintendent in coordinating and scheduling trade contractors, material deliveries, and project progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Superintendent in coordinating and scheduling trade contractors, material deliveries, and project progress.
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, project schedules, and specifications.
  • Assist with site management coverage, including opening and closing the project site, weekend job site coverage, and other times the Superintendent is unavailable.
  • Implement and enforce safety and quality control policies and procedures.
  • Aid in business development and client relations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized project site.
  • Complete assigned activities in a timely manner and within guidelines and deadlines.
  • Maintain personal appearance standards fitting for the role of Assistant Superintendent.
  • Work on other projects and duties as assigned.
Project-Specific Responsibilities
  • Assist the Superintendent in updating and maintaining the project schedule.
  • Participate in trade contractor pre-construction and preparatory meetings, owner progress meetings, and weekly trade contractor coordination meetings.
  • Monitor and document third-party and jurisdictional meetings and inspections.
  • Prepare, run, and document quality control meetings and inspections with the Superintendent.
  • Prepare, run, and document safety meetings and inspections with the Superintendent.
  • Assist the Superintendent in preparing and maintaining material and equipment delivery tracking logs, daily reports, weather day logs, and project photography and records.
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in the commercial construction industry, preferably in K-12 construction.
  • Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.
  • Understanding of construction operations and processes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to take directions and work in a team environment.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
