Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to join our team in the Physical Sciences department at College of the Canyons. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in the physical sciences, including chemistry, earth science, and physics/astronomy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a range of courses in the physical sciences, including lectures, discussions, and laboratory sessions.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and program development.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Physical Sciences or a related field.
  • California Community College Instructor Credential in Physical Sciences or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in a higher education setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
