The Judge Rotenberg Educational Center (JRC) is a fast-growing, highly structured residential special needs program located within commuting distance of Boston and Providence. We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in providing high-quality care to children, adolescents, and adults with challenging behaviors, including autism and/or conduct/psychiatric disorders.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position, paid on a non-exempt basis. The LPN will be responsible for assisting the staff physician, attending to injured students/clients, and monitoring the distribution of medication and general well-being of the students. On-call for holidays, nights, and weekends is an integral component of this position. The LPN will report directly to the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the staff physician in providing medical care to students/clients
  • Attend to injured students/clients and provide basic first aid
  • Monitor the distribution of medication and general well-being of students
  • Participate in on-call rotations for holidays, nights, and weekends
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure high-quality care
Requirements:

• Current LPN licensure in the state of Massachusetts

• Experience working with individuals with special needs

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
