Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our team at IntelyCare. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and residents in post-acute facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares and administers medications to patients and residents in accordance with their individualized care plans.
  • Supervises residents' self-administration of medications, providing reminders and assistance as needed.
  • Verifies the accuracy of medication administration, including the right person, drug, dose, route, and time.
  • Documents interventions, vital signs, and other data related to medication administration.
  • Maintains confidentiality of residents' personal and medical information.
  • Reports any issues or concerns to the supervising nurse.
  • Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting their independence and well-being.
Requirements
  • Current Maryland Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current state nursing assistant certification (CNA/LNA/STNA).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a nursing assistant or in a related role.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers via the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Knowledge of pharmacological and medical terminology.
