Job Summary

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health is seeking a skilled Substance Use Counselor to join our team at the Hartmann Center. As a key member of our residential treatment program, you will provide substance abuse education and foster recovery skill building for adolescents with substance use issues and/or co-occurring disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual, family, and group counseling sessions, as well as provide psychoeducation and support services.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring compliance with program licensure and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including service plans, assessments, and progress updates.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, social work, psychology).
  • Certification in addiction counseling (e.g., CACII, CADCII, NCAC, MAC).
  • Associate license or licensed professional counselor/clinical social worker/marriage and family therapist in the State of Georgia.
  • At least one year of experience working in mental health or substance use disorder treatment.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality.
