Loan Post-Closing Specialist I

**Job Summary:**

As a Loan Post-Closing Specialist I at CB&S Bank, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth processing of real estate loans, commercial and consumer loans, after the closing of a loan. You will assemble and review loan documentation to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assemble and review loan documentation to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Disburse third-party fees to vendors and balance loans.
  • Log in closed loans, maintain a log, and organize closed loan packages.
  • Prepare and mail checks to third-party vendors and county probate offices.
  • Complete general ledger tickets and balance loans.
  • Assist lending officers in processing loans and correspondence.
  • Review real estate appraisals and title insurance for exceptions regarding mortgage loans.
  • Prepare and mail good faith estimates and advance truth in lending disclosures.
  • Monitor the status of documentation and prepare weekly status reports.
  • Coordinate loan closings with loan officers, customers, and attorneys.
  • Distribute funds accordingly after a loan closing.
  • Maintain government records on loan files and prepare procedural forms on closed loans.
  • Prepare documentation for mortgage releases.
  • Assist customers with questions or problems with their loan accounts.
  • Communicate with auditors from state, federal, and independent agencies.

**Requirements:**

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • One to two years of clerical and loan operations experience.
  • Four to five years experience as a real estate loan secretary, closing agent, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven knowledge of loan policies and procedures.
  • Intimate knowledge of Real Estate Settlement and Procedures Act, Truth in Lending, and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act.
  • Excellent organizational skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers and employees, and listen effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to and use other PC-based software packages.
  • Ability to see, hear, talk, perform repetitive motion tasks, and tasks using only fingers.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to transmit information in written form.
