Assistant General Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at 801 Chophouse. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate daily restaurant operations, including food, beverage, and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve restaurant standards, including FOH and BOH staff performance, restaurant appearance, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the Chef and GM to drive menu development, food cost control, and kitchen organization.
  • Lead the wine program, including wine list development, inventory management, and staff training.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including RS accounting and financial system, opening and closing paperwork, and weekly submittals.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, employees, and vendors to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Support FOH and BOH staff, coordinate daily restaurant operations, and drive business growth through marketing and sales initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years of experience in a high-volume, full-service, fine dining establishment.
  • Proven track record of success in restaurant management, including leadership, staff development, and operational excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of FOH operations, including food, beverage, inventory, ordering, and supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure, in stressful situations, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, employees, and vendors.
