Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advanced Emergency Medical Technician to join our team at Penn State Health. As a critical member of our emergency medical services team, you will be responsible for responding to emergencies, assessing patients, and providing treatment in accordance with PA DOH Basic & Advanced EMT standard curriculum.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to emergencies and provide medical care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
- Assess patients and provide treatment in accordance with PA DOH Basic & Advanced EMT standard curriculum.
- Transport patients to medical facilities in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with Advanced Life Support (Paramedic) providers to manage patient care.
- Perform non-emergency routine medical transports utilizing ambulances and wheelchairs.
- Basic life support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Program CPR/AED certification.
- Current certification as an Advanced EMT in the Commonwealth of PA or eligible for and completion of reciprocity if certified in another state.
- Valid Driver's license required or eligible for a Commonwealth of PA driver's license if out of state.
- PA DOH EMSVO certification within 30 days of start date.
- HazMat Awareness Training and NIMS (100, 200, 700, 800) required within 30 days of start date.
- Must obtain Medical Command within 90 days of start date.
- Six (6) months of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) experience preferred.
