We are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineering Research Scientist to join our team at Colossal Biosciences. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects and contribute to our mission to preserve and restore endangered species.

About the Role:
  • Conduct research and development activities to design and develop innovative mechanical devices and systems.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify and translate biological requirements into functional specifications.
  • Leverage engineering principles to inform device development and generation of innovative concepts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of post-graduate experience in medical device development, R&D engineering, or related fields.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an ABET-accredited program in an engineering-related field.
  • Excellent technical skills, including mechanics, fluid mechanics, microfluidics, and design of experiments.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and problem-solving.
