  • Collaboration: Partner with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment and support students' overall educational experience.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of students' progress, therapy sessions, and treatment plans. Prepare and submit necessary reports and documentation.
  • Consultation: Offer guidance and support to school staff and families on strategies to enhance students' participation in classroom activities and daily routines.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices and advancements in occupational therapy. Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Georgia.
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
  • Knowledge of current assessment tools, therapeutic techniques, and special education regulations.
