Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to work in a school setting near Riverdale, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and will be dedicated to enhancing students' fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Therapy and Intervention: Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, addressing areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and daily living skills.
- Collaboration: Partner with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment and support students' overall educational experience.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of students' progress, therapy sessions, and treatment plans. Prepare and submit necessary reports and documentation.
- Consultation: Offer guidance and support to school staff and families on strategies to enhance students' participation in classroom activities and daily routines.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices and advancements in occupational therapy. Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Georgia.
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
- Knowledge of current assessment tools, therapeutic techniques, and special education regulations.
