Position Summary
The role involves setting up, operating, and managing molds to produce components for a diverse range of footwear. Collaborate with various departments to ensure machinery functions effectively and molds are accurately processed. Maintain a record of daily production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and apply wax to molds to address surface flaws.
- Utilize lift tables to move and position mold sections.
- Apply wax to mold sections to ease the extraction of components.
- Detach upper mold sections from lower sections and extract components.
- Conduct visual inspections of components to verify quality standards.
- Hang components on designated racks for the baking process.
- Sort and distribute components to the appropriate bins in the saw department.
- Ensure accurate mold casting.
- Monitor mold temperatures.
- Check pressure gauges on casting machinery.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of two years of continuous experience in molding.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read precision measuring tools and learn spreadsheet software.
- Capability to interpret production schedules and generate computer-based reports.
- Detail-oriented with effective communication and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
