Position Overview:
Fire Protection Inspector
As a Fire Protection Inspector, you will be tasked with executing NFPA-compliant inspections on water-based fire systems and fire alarm systems. Your role is crucial in driving inspection revenues while maintaining profitability and adhering to NFPA regulations.
This position requires a proactive approach in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, delivering high-quality inspections and possessing a thorough understanding of NFPA codes related to fire systems. Willingness to travel to various customer sites is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose issues in wet-based fire systems and effectively communicate findings to owners and service managers for prompt resolution.
- Conduct inspections at elevated heights using man lifts as necessary.
- Execute annual inspections on domestic and fire backflows.
- Oversee and ensure the timely completion of assigned inspection tasks.
- Independently schedule daily inspections.

Educational Background / Work Experience:
- Expertise in NFPA 25 inspections for various fire protection systems.
- Experience with NFPA 72 inspections for fire alarm systems is a plus.
- A high school diploma or GED is required; a trade school background is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the operation of diverse Fire Protection Systems is essential.
- Holding an individual backflow license and NICET Level II certifications is highly valued.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues is necessary.
- Ability to work at heights and operate lifts safely.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Capability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds is required.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
