We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Safety Aide/Sitter to join our team at Lancaster General Health. As a Patient Safety Aide/Sitter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients who require direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct observation and supervision to patients with safety concerns, including those with compromised judgment, altered cognition, or at risk for self-harm or elopement.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, hygiene, and feeding.
- Use appropriate resources to support patients with special needs, including language barriers, sensory problems, or cultural and religious needs.
- Integrate principles of infection control and infection prevention into practice.
- Interact with patients in a manner that preserves their dignity, privacy, and meets their psychosocial and age-appropriate needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English.
- Healthcare provider CPR certification (can attain within 30 days of hire).
