Job Summary

Parrish Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security department, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Security Patrols: Conduct regular security patrols of the hospital campus, including buildings, grounds, and parking areas, to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, including fires, medical emergencies, and security breaches.
  • Provide Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, including providing directions, assistance, and support as needed.
  • Monitor Security Systems: Monitor and respond to security system alarms, including video surveillance and access control systems.
  • Collaborate with Law Enforcement: Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Participate in Training and Development: Participate in regular training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in security and emergency response.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required.
  • Security Certification: A security certification, such as the Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) certification, is preferred.
