Role Overview:
Utilize the nursing process to provide goal-oriented patient care, demonstrating accountability both individually and as part of a team. Document actions taken to implement the care plan and collaborate closely with the healthcare team to ensure a comprehensive continuum of care for patients.
Deliver timely, continuous, age-appropriate, and collaborative assessments, preparing patients and their families for subsequent levels of care. Provide and document nursing services to patients across all age groups.
Qualifications & Certifications:
Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in South Dakota.
Basic Life Support, ACLS, and TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation) certifications are required within six months of hire.
Prior experience in medical, surgical, or pediatric nursing is advantageous.
Possess knowledge of specialized procedures, including but not limited to arterial lines, mechanical ventilation, and the administration of thrombolytics and pacemakers. Demonstrate proficiency in rhythm interpretation to assess patients' cardiac needs and be adept in utilizing ACLS algorithms.
Work Schedule:
Shifts are from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; 24 hours every two weeks.
Every third weekend and holiday.
Occasional on-call duties.
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this role is competitive, with actual rates determined by experience.
