Position Summary
The Financial Planning Analyst will support a substantial operational area exceeding $65 million. This sector encompasses various waste management facilities, including landfills, recycling centers, and transfer stations. The role involves collaborating with management to identify operational efficiencies and explore new business ventures. Additionally, the analyst will contribute to board presentations, conduct financial assessments, analyze operational statistics, and assist with financial reporting as required.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis
- Examine income statements to identify potential issues.
- Assist in the preparation of pro-forma financial statements.
- Analyze price and volume outcomes to uncover opportunities.
- Monitor statistics to ensure the availability of critical business information.
- Collaborate with operations to enhance routing efficiencies and operational effectiveness.
- Develop pricing models tailored to each service line.
Presentation Preparation
- Create presentations for potential acquisition opportunities.
- Prepare materials for board meetings.
- Compile monthly operational review documents.
- Support presentations for municipal or homeowners' association bids.
Accounting Support
- Assist with month-end closing activities as necessary.
- Oversee the forecasting process.
- Support the budgeting process.
- Conduct financial reviews in collaboration with management.
