The Customer Reliability Engineer Intern will play a critical role in supporting the company's mission to deliver exceptional customer service and reliability. This internship is designed to provide a Mechanical Engineering student with hands-on experience in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of mechanical seals and related products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and disassemble mechanical seal parts to ensure quality and reliability
  • Review part print drawings and make judgments on parts reparability
  • Lap mechanical seal faces to design tolerances
  • Assemble mechanical seals, pressure test, and prepare for shipment
  • Conduct mechanical seal failure analysis and root cause analysis
  • Assist the sales team with field needs and customer support
  • Work with the branch and regional engineering team for customer process application reviews
  • Collaborate with reliability engineers to run calculations on new and existing seal designs

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university-level Mechanical Engineering program
  • Having completed at least two years in the program
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to work in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Some CAD experience; solid modeling a plus
  • Effective written and spoken communication skills
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English; bilingual a plus
  • Experience working with a diverse group is a plus
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
