We are seeking an experienced Professional Electrical Engineer to join our design team at Meade Engineering, Inc. Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems and perform design calculations for various projects.
- Review, sign, and seal projects.
- Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, prepare record drawings, conduct site visits, inspections, and participate in commissioning work.
- Write and edit electrical equipment specifications, select equipment, electrical systems, and devices.
- Ensure jobs are completed accurately, within deadlines, and on budget.
Requirements:
- 5-10+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry.
- Must hold a valid Electrical P.E. license and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects.
- Experience working independently, managing priorities, and providing mentorship to junior staff.
- Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards.
- Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large-scale standby and emergency power systems, including interactive generator controls systems.
- Experienced in producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred.
- Experienced with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred.
- Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives.
- Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated to work as a team.
- Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit.
