Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to fill the role of Leasing Agent. As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to prospective tenants, ensuring a smooth leasing process, and maintaining accurate records of leasing activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct property tours to showcase the features and benefits of each unit
  • Assist applicants with completing rental applications and necessary paperwork
  • Verify applicant information, including employment, income, and rental history
  • Coordinate lease signings and ensure all required documents are properly executed
  • Collect and process rental payments from tenants
  • Respond to inquiries from current and prospective tenants in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of leasing activities using property management software
  • Adhere to fair housing regulations and company policies at all times
  • Collaborate with the property management team to address tenant concerns or maintenance issues
  • Assist with marketing efforts, including creating listings and promoting available units

Requirements

  • Previous experience in leasing or property management is preferred
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping
  • Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of fair housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines is a plus
  • Familiarity with property maintenance concepts and procedures
  • Experience working with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) properties is preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse individuals and handle sensitive situations professionally

Work Environment

This is a part-time, temporary position requiring 24-32 hours of work per week. The schedule includes day shifts, every weekend, and Monday to Friday. The work location is in person.
