The role of Senior Legal Counsel is integral to ensuring operational excellence across all PlaneSense divisions. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this position is part of a focused legal team dedicated to supporting the company's diverse business activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Success in this role hinges on the ability to operate autonomously, prioritize effectively, and manage a variety of legal responsibilities. We seek an attorney with a proactive, service-oriented approach, who excels in collaborative environments and possesses strong problem-solving skills.

  • Draft, review, and amend documents related to fractional ownership and other PlaneSense programs.
  • Engage with potential and current fractional owners and their advisors through effective written and verbal communication.
  • Collaborate with our Sales, Marketing, and Owner Services teams to support business objectives.
  • Provide legal guidance on domestic and international regulatory compliance, including FAA, NTSB, and TSA regulations, as well as labor and employment law, risk management, and litigation matters.
  • Oversee outside counsel in litigation and other legal matters.
  • Deliver timely, practical, and business-focused legal advice across departments.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing policies and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources team and outside counsel on labor and employment issues.
  • Conduct regulatory and legal training for various departments.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in asset transactions, with a preference for those familiar with aviation law. Minimum qualifications include:

  • A J.D. degree and active membership in the Bar of at least one U.S. state.
  • 5-8 years of legal experience, ideally including 2 years in an in-house role.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States and a willingness to operate from the corporate headquarters.
  • Strong academic credentials.

  • Strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to analyze situations and propose actionable solutions.
