Role Overview

Primary Responsibilities The individual in this position will report directly to the technical lead of the advanced energy product. The core responsibilities include integrating system components from low-level hardware to top-level user interface, ensuring the system operates cohesively. This individual will define system integration strategies and test complex modules and systems. To contribute to the project's success, this person will gather detailed information, evaluate and investigate issues, and propose suitable solutions. This is crucial as challenges can evolve rapidly during the dynamic early stages of product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize a hands-on approach to troubleshoot engineering prototypes through their successive iterations and releases.
  • Develop and document test plans, detailed testing procedures, test reports, test activities, and transition strategies.
  • Enhance functional excellence in mechatronic design and prototyping, hardware/software integration, incorporating clinical feedback into the design process, developing characterization and test designs, and ensuring smooth system bring-up and stabilization.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Expertise in hardware testing and troubleshooting along with proficiency in data processing tools such as MATLAB and Python to conduct root cause analysis and prepare reports to showcase the system's performance.
  • Demonstrated practical experience in validating hardware through engineering tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and analyzers.
  • Prior experience in hardware/software integration.

Required Education and Training

A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a university degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar Engineering field; or 6 years of experience and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in data analysis and correlation data.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Experience working with AWS.
  • Previous experience in formal testing, including verification and validation.
  • Previous experience successfully launching medical device products.
