We are seeking a highly skilled Floral Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team at Karin's Florist, INC in Vienna, VA.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that combines the creativity of sourcing fresh flowers and hard goods with the customer-focused responsibilities of a retail sales associate. As a Floral Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Sourcing and purchasing high-quality flowers and hard goods while maintaining cost of goods metrics.
  • Researching and introducing innovative floral varieties and products to keep inventory fresh and appealing.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with wholesalers and growers to secure the best quality and value.

You will also play a key role in coordinating competitive bids for flowers and standard hard goods from designated wholesalers and proposing selections of specialty hard goods to the leadership team.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in floral buying or a related field.
  • Strong organization and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and maintain cost of goods within established targets.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
