About the Role

Clean Harbors is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Foreperson to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the direct supervision of Field Technicians and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of projects and jobs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train Field Technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Ensure that all projects and jobs are completed within budget and on time, while maintaining the highest level of quality and safety standards.
  • Enforce and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and H&S regulations and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the Coordinator to ensure that all necessary resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, are available to complete field service and emergency response projects.
  • Manage large-scale field service and emergency response projects as directed.
  • Engage in strenuous physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects, and operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, and powered industrial tools.
  • Wear and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, skin, face, hand, and foot protection, in multiple combinations.
  • Work in various temperatures, indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions, and in atmospheres and locations with potential exposure to hazardous, toxic, or corrosive agents.
  • Work in potentially elevated noise levels, confined spaces, and at elevations, including working from ladders and scaffolding.
  • Assist in field sampling activities and calibration of meters, and climb ladders, scaffolding, and into and out of trucks, tanks, and containers.
  • Work extended periods, attend compliance and safety update meetings, and inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Safely load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste, conduct waste stream sampling and profiling as necessary, and complete associated paperwork.
  • Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules, and safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be able to travel up to 100%.
  • Previous experience in a physically intensive role and a supervisory, crew lead, or leadership role.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods, overnight, and be on-call for emergency response.
  • Valid Driver's license and ability to perform physical functions per job requirements.
  • Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position.
