Chubb is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Risk Underwriter to join our team. As a Cyber Risk Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting cyber new business opportunities for commercial clients with less than $100m of revenues.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and Underwrite Cyber Submissions: Analyze applications, supporting documents, and third-party data to determine risk exposure.
- Evaluate IT Security Controls: Assess common security measures, data protection protocols, and potential vulnerabilities to determine appropriate coverage limits and premiums.
- Collaborate with Brokers and Agents: Understand insured's needs, answer inquiries, and negotiate policy terms and conditions.
- Binds Coverage and Documents Underwriting Files: Ensure accurate and timely completion of underwriting files.
- Manage Territory/Book of Business: Handle an assigned territory/book of business, including managing relationships with brokers and agents.
- Participate in Projects and Tasks: Assist the team in various projects and tasks to drive business growth and improvement.
- Underwriting Experience: 0-3 years of previous underwriting experience is highly desired.
- Cyber Security Experience: Experience within cyber security is a plus.
- Cyber/Tech E&O Experience: Cyber/Tech E&O experience is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required.
- Analytical Ability: Analytical ability to evaluate risks according to corporate underwriting guidelines.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven negotiation skills, gained through established broker/client relationships.
- Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work well independently, as well as in a team environment, and respond as a team player in a multi-tasking environment.
