Responsibilities:
  • Support Production Lines: Minimize or eliminate downtime by providing technical support and guidance to production teams.
  • Manage Engineering Changes: Develop and implement changes to products and processes to improve manufacturability and reduce costs.
  • Ensure Manufacturability: Participate in the product design and development process to ensure that products are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer technical assistance to customers, sales, customer service, and Humanscale technicians for new and existing products.
  • Identify Cost Reduction Opportunities: Analyze processes and identify opportunities for cost reductions and implement initiatives to achieve savings.
  • Collaborate with Vendors: Work with vendors and suppliers to procure materials and components, and ensure that technical specifications are met.
  • Design Customized Prototypes: Design and develop customized prototypes and final functional units to satisfy customer special order requests.
  • Perform BOM Accuracy Audits: Conduct audits to ensure that Bills of Material (BOM) are accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Internship experience working in an engineering capacity at a manufacturing facility.
  • Skills: Knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and techniques commonly employed in the design and production of products. Experienced in using 3D CAD modeling software (e.g. Solidworks). Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Language: Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 60 pounds and perform repetitive bending and stretching.
