Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead the design and commercialization of new ceramic products, working closely with our Advanced Concepts, Manufacturing, and Marketing teams. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading engineering design and commercialization of new products
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring breakthrough innovations to market
  • Ensuring robust performance and manufacturability of products
  • Designing using 3D surfacing modeling and creating complex geometries
  • Working with suppliers to obtain necessary information for design completion
  • Creating and maintaining 3D CAD models, 2D technical drawings, and bill of materials
  • Providing timing and reporting progress towards performance and schedule objectives
  • Conducting Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis, Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Mentoring and guiding less experienced team members
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a related position. Key qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using PTC Pro-E (Creo) 3D modeling software
  • Experience with GD&T and stack up tolerance analysis
  • Experience using WindChill PDM system
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally, within and outside of the US
Hiring Range

The hiring salary range for this position is $60,000 to $89,000 annually, depending on education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities.
