Position Overview:
As a key member of our healthcare team, the Physician plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive medical care to our geriatric participants. This position involves working closely with a diverse range of patients in various settings, ensuring that their healthcare needs are met with the utmost professionalism and compassion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver medical services to participants, including thorough evaluations, accurate diagnoses, and effective management of medical conditions. This encompasses taking detailed medical histories, conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating treatment plans.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of medical care in accordance with established policies, contributing to the enhancement of electronic medical records.
- Provide after-hours on-call support on a rotational basis, with initial triage conducted by nursing staff to ensure efficient care delivery.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans for participants.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness of our healthcare programs.
- Lead and inspire team members to foster a positive work environment that emphasizes teamwork and high morale.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree.
- Active state Medical License and DEA license with full prescriptive authority.
- Board Certification in a primary care specialty, or Board Eligible with certification required within the first year of employment.
- A minimum of one year of experience working with elderly or frail populations.
- Not listed on the CMS Preclusion List.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate training in a primary care specialty, such as internal or family medicine.
- Completion of post-residency training in geriatric medicine.
- Bilingual capabilities.
