Job Responsibilities and Expectations:
  • Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, and troubleshoot low, medium, and high-voltage electrical systems.
  • Perform instrument transformer tests, power transformer testing, and cable testing.
  • Test electro-mechanical and solid-state relays, and automatic transfer switches.
  • Conduct low, medium, and high-voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testing.
  • Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Electrical Power & Controls (EPC) or a related field, or equivalent experience and training.
  • NETA Certification (II, III, or IV) or similar desired.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience performing switchgear testing and troubleshooting.
  • Good PC skills, including email, internet, data entry, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures.
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Availability for regular overnight domestic travel and occasional international travel.
  • U.S. passport and TWIC card a plus.
