Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team in a full-time evening shift position. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to our residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Responsibilities:
- Provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support.
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate, and create a positive dining experience.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
- Assist with wellness and recreational programs and encourage residents to participate.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Satisfactorily complete yearly department-specific competency testing and maintain a record of continuing education credits for each year.
