Laboratory Phlebotomy Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Alverno Laboratories. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens, performing laboratory office duties, and processing laboratory specimens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood specimens from patients in a safe and efficient manner
  • Accurately and completely enter patient data into the computer system
  • Process laboratory specimens for testing and/or sending to the central laboratory or reference laboratory
  • Perform laboratory office duties, including registering patients and answering telephone calls
  • Participate in on-call rotation and may be required to travel/drive to other locations

Requirements:

  • Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training is required
  • Background in a medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
